A charming Georgian harbour town located on the coast of Ceredigion in West Wales. Aberaeron was developed in the early 19th century and designed as a planned town. One of its most distinctive features is the row of brightly painted houses surrounding Aberaeron Harbour. These pastel-coloured buildings give the town its unique and instantly recognisable character.

The picturesque harbour village of New Quay is only a short drive from Aberaeron and is one of the best places in Wales to see dolphins in the wild.
Boat trips leave regularly from the harbour and offer visitors the chance to see bottlenose dolphins, seals and seabirds in Cardigan Bay. Visitors can also find the trail of the famous Welsh poet Dylan Thomas, begining near the pier. The town is believed to have inspired parts of his famous work Under Milk Wood.
